As school bells ring across the country, we're launching into our new theme: "Lessons for Life." Drawing wisdom from Proverbs 1:5, this episode invites you to rediscover what it means to be a true student—not in a classroom, but before God Himself.

"Let the wise listen and become even wiser." These words challenge us to recognize that wisdom isn't a destination but a journey of continuous growth. Whether you consider yourself spiritually mature or just beginning your faith walk, there's always more to learn when we position ourselves as students of God's Word.

Life has a remarkable way of teaching us lessons. Some arrive as gentle nudges, others as difficult seasons we'd rather skip. But God's instruction prepares us for both. The question is: are we listening? In our busy lives, it's dangerously easy to miss what God is trying to teach us. Today's challenge asks you to set aside just 10 minutes to identify one lesson God has been working to teach you lately. Write it down. Pray over it. Ask for the strength not just to understand it intellectually, but to live it out practically.

The wisest decision any of us can make is to remain teachable—open to correction, redirection, and even discipline if it means drawing closer to God. That's the heart of a true disciple. Join us daily as we pause, listen, and grow wiser together through God's Word. What lesson is He teaching you today?

00:00:07.394 --> 00:00:08.762
I'm Rick.

Join me as I dive into God's Word to find clarity and strength for life's challenges.

00:00:13.653 --> 00:00:19.484
Let me help you embrace each day with faith and wisdom, ready to feel inspired.

00:00:19.484 --> 00:00:21.070
Let's get started.

00:00:21.070 --> 00:00:25.809
Today is Day 244.

00:00:26.660 --> 00:00:31.169
Lessons for life begin From Proverbs, chapter 1, verse 5.

00:00:31.169 --> 00:00:38.832
From the New Living Translation Let the wise listen to these proverbs and become even wiser.

00:00:38.832 --> 00:00:42.189
Let those with understanding receive guidance.

00:00:42.189 --> 00:00:48.743
Well, we're beginning a brand new theme for this month called Lessons for Life.

00:00:48.743 --> 00:00:56.506
Since school's back in session for many kids, it's the perfect time to focus on what it means to be a student of God's Word.

00:00:57.488 --> 00:00:59.353
Life has a way of teaching us lessons.

00:00:59.353 --> 00:01:03.066
Some we welcome, others we'd rather not go through.

00:01:03.066 --> 00:01:07.373
But God's word equips us to walk through every season with wisdom.

00:01:07.373 --> 00:01:13.248
Proverbs 1.5 says Let the wise listen and become even wiser.

00:01:13.248 --> 00:01:19.689
That's the goal for this series To pause, listen and grow wiser.

00:01:19.689 --> 00:01:29.510
If we're not careful, we can let the busyness of life distract us from God's instruction, but the wisest decision we can make is to be teachable before him.

00:01:30.980 --> 00:01:35.266
As we start this new theme, ask yourself Am I willing to learn?

00:01:35.266 --> 00:01:42.033
Am I open to correction, redirection and even discipline if it means walking closer to God.

00:01:42.033 --> 00:01:48.870
That's what a true disciple does Receives the lessons God is teaching and applies them.

00:01:48.870 --> 00:01:57.287
So today, set aside 10 minutes to write down one lesson you feel God has been trying to teach you lately.

00:01:57.287 --> 00:02:03.484
Pray over it and ask him for the strength to not only understand it but to live it out.

00:02:03.484 --> 00:02:08.860
Pray with me, lord, god, as we begin this new theme.

00:02:08.860 --> 00:02:11.225
Help me be a student of your word.

00:02:11.225 --> 00:02:15.462
Teach me what I need to know and help me to be humble enough to listen.

00:02:15.462 --> 00:02:22.725
May your lessons shape me into who you've called me to be, in Jesus' precious name, amen.

00:02:22.725 --> 00:02:29.909
Well, that's all for today, but I'll be back tomorrow with more of God's Word.
