Have you ever struggled to see the value in being corrected? Today's meditation on Hebrews 12:10-11 reveals a profound truth that might transform how you view life's challenges and spiritual growth opportunities.

When correction comes our way, our first instinct is often resistance. We justify our actions, make excuses, or simply ignore that gentle nudge from the Holy Spirit. But Scripture reveals a beautiful purpose behind God's discipline: "God's discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness. It produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who are trained by it."

This revelation changes everything. What we perceive as uncomfortable correction is actually God's loving hand shaping us for greater purposes. Unlike worldly punishment, divine discipline prepares us to reflect more of His character. The discomfort we feel during these seasons isn't random—it's intentional cultivation that yields a harvest of righteousness and peace when we embrace it with humility.

Today, I challenge you to pause and honestly ask: "What are you correcting in me right now, Lord?" Identify one change He's calling you to make and commit to taking that first step this week. Remember, correction isn't condemnation—it's an invitation to grow into the person God created you to be. 00:00:07.394 --> 00:00:08.762
I'm Rick.

00:00:08.762 --> 00:00:13.653
Join me as I dive into God's Word to find clarity and strength for life's challenges.

00:00:13.653 --> 00:00:19.484
Let me help you embrace each day with faith and wisdom, ready to feel inspired.

00:00:19.484 --> 00:00:21.070
Let's get started.

00:00:21.070 --> 00:00:26.388
Today is Day 217.

00:00:27.019 --> 00:00:28.085
Learn from correction.

00:00:28.085 --> 00:00:31.929
From Hebrews, chapter 12, verses 10 and 11.

00:00:31.929 --> 00:00:41.240
From the New Living Translation God's discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness.

00:00:41.240 --> 00:00:46.320
It produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who are trained by it.

00:00:46.320 --> 00:00:53.070
Correction it's never comfortable, but it's essential.

00:00:53.070 --> 00:00:56.494
God's discipline is a mark of his love.

00:00:56.494 --> 00:01:02.433
He sees what we can't see and he knows how to shape our lives for his glory.

00:01:02.433 --> 00:01:04.058
It's not punishment, and he knows how to shape our lives for his glory.

00:01:04.058 --> 00:01:08.759
It's not punishment, it's preparation.

00:01:08.759 --> 00:01:10.983
Our natural instinct is to resist conviction.

00:01:10.983 --> 00:01:14.971
We justify our actions or brush off that quiet nudge from the Holy Spirit.

00:01:14.971 --> 00:01:23.384
But when we ignore God's correction, we rob ourselves of the growth he wants to produce in us.

00:01:23.384 --> 00:01:25.128
Hebrews reminds us that discipline is not random.

00:01:25.128 --> 00:01:36.278
It trains us, it grows a harvest of righteousness and peace in those who accept it with humility.

00:01:36.278 --> 00:01:42.302
So take time today to ask God what are you correcting in me right now.

00:01:42.302 --> 00:01:42.822
Be honest with yourself.

00:01:42.822 --> 00:01:47.912
Write down one change he's calling you to make and commit to taking that first step towards it this week.

00:01:47.912 --> 00:01:51.582
Pray with me, father God.

00:01:51.582 --> 00:01:53.890
Thank you for loving me enough to discipline me.

00:01:53.890 --> 00:01:59.647
Teach me to see your correction as an invitation to grow, not as condemnation.

00:01:59.647 --> 00:02:07.450
Grow righteousness and peace in my life as I follow your leading In Jesus' precious name, amen.

00:02:07.450 --> 00:02:14.710
Well, that's all for today, but I'll be back tomorrow with more of God's Word.
