Have you ever walked into a room and immediately felt insufficient? That crushing weight of inadequacy that makes you shrink, question your calling, and compare your behind-the-scenes to someone else's highlight reel? You're not alone.

In this heartfelt episode of Weekends with Lauren, we tackle the universal experience of insecurity through the powerful lens of 2 Corinthians 12:9. Lauren vulnerably shares her own struggles with feeling small and unqualified, offering a refreshing perspective that challenges our performance-driven culture. "God doesn't need me to be impressive," she reminds us, "he needs me to be available."

The transformative message at the heart of this episode is that walking worthy doesn't mean never feeling insecure—it means refusing to let insecurity be the loudest voice in your story. When we embrace our weaknesses rather than hiding them, we create space for God's strength to shine through us in unexpected ways. This isn't about manufacturing confidence based on our credentials; it's about walking in grace even when—especially when—we feel inadequate.

Through personal stories, scripture insights, and a powerful prayer, this episode equips you with practical wisdom for those moments when insecurity threatens to derail you. Remember: "Even on the shaky days, you're still called, still loved and still chosen." Tune in to discover how God's power works best in weakness and how embracing vulnerability might be your greatest strength. Share this episode with someone who needs to hear they're not alone in their struggles with insecurity.

00:00:01.421 --> 00:00:06.253
Welcome to Wisdom for the Day, your daily source for spiritual refreshment and guidance.

00:00:06.253 --> 00:00:07.602
I'm Rick.

00:00:07.602 --> 00:00:12.512
Join me as I dive into God's Word to find clarity and strength for life's challenges.

00:00:12.512 --> 00:00:18.324
Let me help you embrace each day with faith and wisdom, ready to feel inspired.

00:00:18.324 --> 00:00:19.929
Let's get started.

00:00:19.929 --> 00:00:23.280
And now Weekends with Lauren.

00:00:23.280 --> 00:00:26.867
And now Weekends with Lauren.

00:00:26.887 --> 00:00:30.053
Today is day 151, walk Through Insecurity.

00:00:30.053 --> 00:00:39.079
We'll be in 2 Corinthians 12, verse 9 from the New Living Translation.

00:00:39.079 --> 00:00:42.280
Hey, hey, it's Saturday and I'm so glad you're here for Weekends with Lauren.

00:00:42.280 --> 00:00:44.223
Can I just be real for a second?

00:00:44.244 --> 00:00:55.935
Some days I walk into a room, a meeting, a conversation and I feel really small, not enough, not qualified and maybe not even ready.

00:00:55.935 --> 00:01:14.051
Insecurity hits me where I least expect it and if I'm not careful it makes me shrink, it makes me question what God already confirmed, it makes me stay quiet when I'm supposed to speak and it makes me compare my calling to someone else's highlight reel.

00:01:14.051 --> 00:01:18.109
But here's what I've had to learn, sometimes the hard way.

00:01:18.109 --> 00:01:23.903
God doesn't need me to be impressive, he needs me to be available.

00:01:23.903 --> 00:01:36.100
2 Corinthians 12, verse 9 says my grace is all you need.

00:01:36.100 --> 00:01:36.862
My power works best in weakness.

00:01:36.862 --> 00:01:38.867
That means I don't have to walk in confidence that's built on my resume or reputation.

00:01:38.867 --> 00:01:40.650
I can walk in grace.

00:01:40.650 --> 00:01:44.031
I can walk knowing that even when I feel like the weakest one in the room, he's still strong in grace.

00:01:44.031 --> 00:01:46.902
I can walk knowing that even when I feel like the weakest one in the room, he's still strong in me.

00:01:46.902 --> 00:01:51.069
Walking worthy doesn't mean you ever feel.

00:01:51.069 --> 00:01:52.772
You never feel insecure.

00:01:52.772 --> 00:01:57.025
It means you don't let insecurity be the loudest voice in your story.

00:01:57.025 --> 00:01:58.987
Now let's pray.

00:01:58.987 --> 00:02:03.102
Jesus, you know the areas where I feel small.

00:02:03.102 --> 00:02:05.430
Speak louder than my doubt.

00:02:05.430 --> 00:02:09.049
Today, let your power show up where I feel the weakest.

00:02:09.049 --> 00:02:14.866
Help me walk in the truth of who you are, not the lies about who I'm not.

00:02:14.866 --> 00:02:18.802
Amen, all right.

00:02:18.802 --> 00:02:19.667
And one last thing.

00:02:19.667 --> 00:02:25.306
Even on the shaky days, you're still called, still loved and still chosen.

00:02:25.306 --> 00:02:26.711
I'll see you tomorrow.

00:02:26.711 --> 00:02:33.585
That's all for now.
