When the room goes quiet and the calendar stays open, doubt gets loud. We take a steady breath together and sit with Isaiah’s promise: “See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands.” Not penciled in. Not provisional. Your name, held where it can’t be forgotten, even when life feels stalled and everyone else seems to be moving ahead.

We talk about the ache of being overlooked and the stories our hearts tell when doors stay shut and messages go unanswered. Then we counter those stories with clear truths: silence isn’t absence, delay isn’t denial, and unseen doesn’t mean unloved. We reflect on the hidden work God does in the waiting—strengthening roots, shaping character, and anchoring identity beyond shifting moods or metrics. A short, honest prayer gives language to weary souls, asking for faith when feelings wobble and for trust that holds in the quiet.

From there, we turn outward. Sometimes the way God reminds us we’re seen is by using us to help someone else feel seen. We invite you to send one message or make one call to a person who might be carrying the weight of invisibility. That small act can reset a day—and often echoes back as encouragement for your own heart.

If this gave you strength, share it with a friend who needs a reminder. 00:00:34.160 --> 00:00:36.480
Welcome to Wisdom for the Day.

00:00:36.719 --> 00:00:42.399
In a world that keeps shifting, this is where we return to what holds us steady.

00:00:42.640 --> 00:00:47.679
Let's begin today grounded, focused, and standing strong.

00:00:50.719 --> 00:01:00.159
Today is day two, You Are Not Forgotten, from Isaiah chapter 49, verse 16 from the New Living Translation.

00:01:01.120 --> 00:01:05.200
See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands.

00:01:07.039 --> 00:01:11.759
If we're being honest, feeling forgotten cuts deep.

00:01:12.400 --> 00:01:15.439
It's one thing to be busy or alone for a moment.

00:01:15.680 --> 00:01:22.879
It's another thing to feel like life's moving forward without you while you're standing still, watching everybody else get their turn.

00:01:23.120 --> 00:01:24.719
Maybe you've felt that.

00:01:24.960 --> 00:01:26.240
I know I have.

00:01:26.879 --> 00:01:32.240
You watch doors open for people, prayers seem to get answered for everyone but you.

00:01:32.560 --> 00:01:41.120
Messages go unanswered, invitations stop coming, and somewhere in that quiet a dangerous thought starts to whisper.

00:01:41.439 --> 00:01:43.840
Did God forget about me too?

00:01:44.159 --> 00:01:47.599
Well, Isaiah shuts that down immediately.

00:01:47.919 --> 00:01:51.840
God says he has written your name on the palms of his hands.

00:01:52.479 --> 00:01:56.800
Not penciled in, not scribbled in somewhere.

00:01:57.039 --> 00:02:00.080
It's not something that he might lose track of.

00:02:27.919 --> 00:02:30.560
Silence doesn't mean absence.

00:02:30.879 --> 00:02:33.360
Delay doesn't mean denial.

00:02:33.759 --> 00:02:39.360
And just because you can't see what God is doing doesn't mean he isn't doing anything.

00:02:39.919 --> 00:02:52.879
Some of the deepest work that God does happens behind the scenes, in the waiting, in the quiet, in the moments where you're tempted to believe that you don't matter anymore.

00:02:53.200 --> 00:02:54.159
But you do.

00:02:55.120 --> 00:02:56.879
Maybe people walked away.

00:02:57.120 --> 00:02:59.920
Maybe somebody failed to see your value.

00:03:00.240 --> 00:03:04.159
Maybe you were overlooked, passed over, or underestimated.

00:03:04.480 --> 00:03:06.080
God was not confused.

00:03:06.480 --> 00:03:08.240
God was not distracted.

00:03:08.560 --> 00:03:10.240
God was not late.

00:03:10.719 --> 00:03:12.320
He knows your struggles.

00:03:12.560 --> 00:03:16.400
He knows the prayers you've whispered when no one else was listening.

00:03:16.719 --> 00:03:20.400
He knows the tears you wiped away before anybody noticed.

00:03:21.040 --> 00:03:29.120
Standing strong in your identity means choosing to believe what God says over what your feelings try to convince you of.

00:03:29.439 --> 00:03:31.840
And God is very clear about this.

00:03:32.159 --> 00:03:36.719
You are seen, remembered, and held by Him.

00:03:37.360 --> 00:03:39.520
You are not forgotten.

00:03:39.840 --> 00:03:41.200
Pray with me.

00:03:41.760 --> 00:03:45.760
Lord God, thank you for never leaving me and never forgetting me.

00:03:46.000 --> 00:03:49.760
When I feel overlooked or invisible, strengthen my faith.

00:03:50.320 --> 00:03:55.200
Remind me daily that I'm seen, known, and deeply loved by you.

00:03:55.439 --> 00:03:58.000
Help me to trust you even in the waiting.

00:03:58.320 --> 00:04:00.719
In Jesus' name, amen.

00:04:02.240 --> 00:04:07.680
Now today, I want you to think about somebody who you might feel forgotten.

00:04:08.240 --> 00:04:11.520
Maybe they don't say it out loud, but you know.

00:04:12.000 --> 00:04:16.560
Send a message, make a call, let them know they matter.

00:04:16.959 --> 00:04:23.839
Sometimes God reminds us that we're seen by using us to help someone else feel seen too.

00:04:24.959 --> 00:04:29.759
Now tomorrow, we keep standing, one day at a time.

00:04:30.319 --> 00:04:31.279
See ya.

00:04:32.560 --> 00:04:41.360
Wisdom for the day is produced by Lauren King, recorded at the Upper Room Studios with intro and outro music by Weston McCurry.

00:04:41.759 --> 00:04:43.199
I'm Rick Yuha.

00:04:45.759 --> 00:04:50.719
Thanks for spending these moments with me today on Wisdom for the Day Standing Strong.

00:04:50.959 --> 00:04:54.159
If this encouraged you, don't keep it to yourself.

00:04:54.319 --> 00:04:57.439
Share it with someone who needs a little strength today.

00:04:57.680 --> 00:05:02.000
And if you want to stay connected, head over to wisdomforthey.org.
